At AG Home & Gardens, we create beautiful spaces. Based in East Sussex & Kent, we offer a complete suite landscaping and decorating services.
From luscious interiors, beautiful gardens and striking outdoor landscapes every project is thoughtfully shaped around your vision and budget. Each one is bespokely & personally managed by Alfred, who blends your ideas with fuctional, considered design to create something incredibly special and unique to each client. Whilst we endeavour to keep costs to a minimum, we will not invest in substandard materials that do not stand the test of time and we will never rush a job. If you ask Alfred what he loves most about his work, he will tell you that it’s the exciting final stages when the finished project starts to take form. This is what we live and breathe and we love it.
What we do…
Our story began in 2016 when we first opened for business as AG Landscapes & Gardens. Before this, Alfred had spent ten years working as a landscaper across the sleepy county of Suffolk, mastering his trade and doing what he loved most… working with the earth and making gardens beautiful.
A move to East Sussex and the birth of our second little human, sparked the creation of AG Landscapes and Gardens. Small but perfectly formed, our fledgling business began with a focus on exceptional craftmanship, clear communication and gorgeous gardens. And so, the journey began…
We settled into becoming small but dedicated business owners and, nearly a decade later, after building solid foundations in standout projects and happy clients, we were ready for the next chapter. AG Home & Gardens was born, incorporating interiors & decorating into our portfolio of services.
The goal was simple… to offer a holistic suite of services with the same commitment to excellence, attention to detail and customer care that had helped build our reputation.
Today, AG Home & Gardens allows us to continue creating and delivering beautiful gardens whilst also transforming homes from within. We are incredibly excited about this new phase in our story and we look forward to sharing it with you.
About us (then & now)…
AG Home & Gardens is, at its heart, a family business. This foundation shapes everything we do and it is central to our company values. Our clients see the real us… the unfiltered version of Alfred, Jess & the clan in full technicolour glory - and for the duration of your project, you’ll become part of our extended family too.
We feel that this transparency does not diminish our professionalism… it enhances it. Our clients are just like us; they have kids or grandkids or their own. They spend their time running little humans around and working hard. Their time and resources are precious. And, home is where it all happens. Home is their refuge and a hub filled to bursting with memories and the madness and mayhem of everyday living. It is a privilege to be asked into their sacred spaces, to work on their projects and help bring their visions to life.
So, with this in mind, when we started AG Home & Gardens, we asked ourselves one simple question… ‘How would we want to be treated by the contractors we let into our home?’
The answer was clear… with the family values we had started with. With clear & honest communication, humility and respect. These are the values that underpin every consultation, every converstaion and every project that we undertake.
Welcome to the family…
Sometimes, a project will require expertise beyond our skillset and, in these instances, we use a selection of trusted contractors (eg. electrician / steel fabricator) to join the team in their work. You will always be told when this is the case and be given the proper introductions.
We are members of Checkatrade and endorsed by Which?TrustedTrader.
We are fully insured and licensed to carry waste.

We are incredibly fortunate to work with some outstanding local suppliers each of whom is known for their exceptional craftmanship, high-quality products and excellent customer service. We work in partnership with these fantastic local businesses because their skill, reliability and expertise help us to achieve results that we’re proud of.
Many of our suppliers are small to medium family-run businesses, just like ours. And, all of them share our commitment to excellence and have worked tirelessly to build their reputation. They are good honest folk that we trust to help us get the job done properly; professionals who not only get the job done but make the journey an enjoyable one too.

Our clients are at the heart of what we do.
They herald across East Sussex & Kent and and come to us at all stages of their project journey and with every level of readiness.
Some have a clear vision from the outset, armed with mood boards, Pinterest finds and samples to bring their ideas to life. Others have a detailed plan from their designer, ready to go. A few arrive with a quick sketch on the back of a napkin… just enough to spark the conversation. And, some are overwhelmed and unsure where to begin, needing a little inspiration & guidance or a site visit to explore what’s possible.
Some projects are small flourishes to upscale an existing design or feature. Some jobs are practical tweaks to make an indoor or outdoor space more functional. And, some projcts require the full Maybelline makeover.
Throughout the process, we’ll get to know you and provide you with an honest appraisal of the possibilities and costs of your project. Our clients are encouraged to ask questions and we check-in regularly to provide project updates at every stage.
